-
Nurturing family relationships
Our Mindful Parenting Skills Group is open to parents and caretakers of children ages 7-17. This group integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques with the "Regulate, Relate, and Reinforce" approach to help parents foster emotional regulation in themselves and their children. Parents will learn DBT skills like mindfulness, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness to manage stress and improve communication. Using the "Regulate, Relate, and Reinforce" framework, they will practice co-regulation, building strong relational connections, and positively reinforcing desired behaviors to create a nurturing and supportive family environment.

The group meets every Thursday from 11:30 to 1pm and each group is $80 per 90 minute session. Weekly attendance is encouraged to receive the full benefits that the group offers. However, individuals may choose to withdraw from the group at any time for any reason. The process to join the group is to first schedule a 50-minute intake appointment with one of our co-facilitators to determine if the group will be a good fit for you. If it is determined that the group is a good fit, you will be invited to attend at the next start date.
